The
Steele Chamber of Commerce has been active since 1973 with an
average of 75 to 100 members. The
motto of the Steele Chamber of Commerce is “Betterment for the
Community” and it sponsors various yearly events to achieve that
goal. Two of the better
known events are the Arts and Crafts Fair held in October with an
accompanying ham and bean dinner; in December the Chamber sponsors
the Christmas
Parade, which is an event well attended by people from
nearby towns as well as residents of Steele.
